2018 Gaiero OMC
THE OM THAT STARTED IT ALL
This guitar is the very first iteration of my OM model, the prototype that laid the foundation for everything I’ve created since. It’s the first guitar I fully designed and built in Ervin Somogyi's Oakland, CA workshop during my apprenticeship. It also features the first example of my micro-mosaic tile rosette.
The voice of the guitar is balanced and articulate, everything you hope for in a responsive OM, and it feels great in the hands.
The guitar has been gently played and remains in excellent condition, with the usual signs of life expected from a pre-owned instrument. As a one-of-a-kind prototype, it embodies both the character and the craftsmanship of my formative years in Oakland. It’s a beautiful and truly satisfying guitar to play, and one that carries a unique and colorful history.
